Women get two levels here. The standard shoes each have one clear use: the Aero GRVL pair for road and gravel, the Genesis 2 for most trails, the Ultra Glide 4 for long days and the Speedcross 6 for mud. The S/Lab race shoes also come in women's sizes, so the S/Lab Pulsar 4 takes the short races and the S/Lab Ultra Glide 2 the longest ones.

The women's Salomon Aero Glide 4 GRVL is a plush hybrid door-to-trail shoe designed to move seamlessly from asphalt to gravel, with an 8mm drop, shallow 2.5mm lugs and optiFOAM2 cushioning.
Why for door-to-trail: Road-shoe cushion on a gravel outsole, at 230g: it runs well from the front door to the dirt path.
The women's Salomon Genesis 2 is a standard-width trail shoe built for rocky, technical mixed terrain, pairing a soft optiFOAM midsole with an activeCHASSIS and a wide, protective platform.
Why for daily: The all-round choice: 241g, a firm hold on the foot and grip that works on most trails.
Women's waterproof trail shoe with a GORE-TEX Matryx upper, optiFOAM cushioning and activeCHASSIS stability, aimed at wet, technical mixed terrain.
The Salomon Ultra Glide 4 is a max-cushioned, neutral trail shoe built for long-haul mixed-terrain miles and ultra distances, with a soft optiFOAM ride and modest 4mm lugs.
Why for long run: Deep, soft cushion and a rocker make this the comfortable choice when the run takes hours.
The women's Salomon Speedcross 6 is an aggressive soft-ground trail shoe built for mud, wet surfaces and technical terrain, with deep 5mm lugs and a protective, cushioned ride.
Why for technical: Its 5mm lugs bite into mud and loose slopes better than any other women's Salomon.
A waterproof trail shoe with deep lugs for mud.
A lightweight trail racing shoe with a dual optiFOAM (PEBA/EVA) midsole and a snug Matryx upper built for speed on mixed terrain.
Why for race: Built for racing in women's sizes too: a close, secure fit and two layers of foam that push you along on fast, short trail days.
A high-stack, neutral trail shoe built for ultra distances on mixed and non-technical terrain, defined by its deep PEBA/EVA cushioning and shallow 4mm lugs.
Why for ultra: Plush cushion, high underfoot protection and a wavy outsole that spreads the load: it stays comfortable through the longest races.
The Salomon Aero Blaze 4 GRVL is a lightweight women's gravel/door-to-trail running shoe pairing an optiFOAM2 midsole with a Gravel Contagrip outsole for mixed-surface everyday training.
A women's waterproof road-to-gravel trainer with GORE-TEX, optiFOAM2 cushioning and a gravel-inspired 2.5mm-lug outsole for everyday mixed-surface running.
A hybrid door-to-trail shoe with a full-length carbon plate and high stack, built to transition between pavement and gravel.
A premium S/Lab trail shoe built for technical terrain and long-distance ultra efforts, with a durable Matryx upper and a wide, stable platform.
The Salomon S/Lab Genesis Spine is a technical trail shoe with an integrated zip gaiter and Profeel Film underfoot protection for rough, off-grid terrain.
The Salomon Pulsar (women's) is a lightweight trail running shoe built for speed on rocky, technical terrain, using an optiFOAM2 superfoam midsole with a 6mm drop and 4mm lugs.
A high-stack ultra-distance trail shoe with an integrated gaiter designed to keep dust and debris out over long efforts.
