A specialist for long, gnarly technical outings where debris and rock protection matter more than weight; the built-in gaiter defines it and adds heft.
Soft optiFOAM cushioning paired with a Profeel Film rock filter keeps the ride protective but not overly firm over long distances. The 8 mm drop and chassis provide stability on uneven ground rather than a plush, bouncy feel.
Runs true to size for most, though a notable share find it narrow, and it comes only in a regular width. The quickLACE system and zip gaiter give a snug, wrapped hold at the ankle.
Long technical and mountain ultras in rocky, debris-heavy or wet conditions where the integrated gaiter and foot protection earn their keep.
You want a light, fast shoe or run mostly smooth or non-technical trails, since at 340 g the gaiter and protection add weight you won't use.
