Who runs this site

Running Shoes HQ is run by an individual, not a company. For anything in this policy, contact hello@runningshoeshq.com.

What we collect

• Nothing, if you just browse. Reading the catalogue, comparisons and guides requires no account and no personal information.
• Your email address, if you create an account. It's used to sign you in and, if needed, to reset your password. We don't send marketing email.
• Your favourites — which shoes you saved, and when. That's stored as a shoe reference against your account ID.
• Aggregate analytics — page views and performance timings, via Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. This is measured without cookies and isn't used to identify you or build a profile.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your data.
• We don't run advertising or third-party tracking or retargeting pixels.
• We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't track you across sites.

Cookies

The only cookies set are the ones that keep you signed in. They're strictly necessary for the account to work, so there's no consent banner to click. Analytics is cookieless. If you never sign in, no cookies are set.

Who processes your data

These providers handle data on our behalf, under their own terms:

• Supabase — the database and sign-in system, which holds your email address and favourites. Hosted in the United States.
• Vercel — hosting and the cookieless analytics described above.

We use an AI service (Anthropic) to help draft the editorial write-ups about shoes. Only shoe information is sent to it — never your account data or anything about your use of the site.

How long we keep it

Your account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Delete your account and the email address and favourites go with it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Email hello@runningshoeshq.com and we'll action it. Because we hold so little, these requests are quick to honour.

Depending on where you live (for example in the UK/EU under the GDPR, or in California), you may have additional statutory rights, including the right to complain to your data protection regulator.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change. Continued use after that means you accept the updated policy.
