The ACG Pegasus Trail GORE-TEX is a versatile door-to-trail shoe that leans into wet-weather protection over aggressive technical performance. Reviewers praise its cushioning, arch support and wet-surface traction, and it transitions comfortably to casual wear. It handles rocky and muddy terrain adequately but the GORE-TEX membrane traps sweat in warm conditions, and at least one owner reported midsole-to-upper separation with heavy use. Best viewed as a comfortable wet-weather trainer rather than a race or highly technical option.
Cushioned and responsive with a balance of firmness and stability that holds up on rocky and slippery terrain, carrying road-like responsiveness onto the trail.
Runs slightly small and narrow despite a marketed wider forefoot; sizing up is recommended for wider feet. A sock-like elastic collar keeps debris out.
Runners and hikers who want a comfortable, cushioned crossover shoe for wet trails, mud and cool-weather outings that double for casual wear.
You run in hot weather (the membrane traps sweat), need a lightweight racer, or want proven long-term durability.
