The Gel-Venture 11 Waterproof is an entry-level, value-oriented trail shoe positioned by ASICS for urban and easy-trail use rather than technical mountain terrain. Its AMPLIFOAM PLUS midsole with a 2mm-higher stack and rearfoot GEL targets soft comfort at easy paces, and the waterproof membrane suits cold, wet walks and runs. It is not built for speed, aggressive terrain, or long racing efforts, and independent testing of ride, fit, and traction is absent.
Heavy and firm-leaning with a traditional 10mm drop, aimed at walking and easy jogging rather than fast running. The 3mm lugs handle light trails and gravel but not deep mud or technical terrain.
Standard width only with a secured, everyday trail fit; the waterproof membrane runs warmer and less breathable than the standard version.
