Our read

A do-everything wet-weather trail and hiking shoe for zero-drop fans who want a wide toe box and grip over speed. Its GORE-TEX build makes it heavy and stiff, so it's a mile-eater, not a runner's racer.

Ride

Ground-connected and firm underfoot with modest EGO foam cushioning; the Vibram Megagrip outsole grips well on wet and dry rock, but the waterproof upper adds weight and some stiffness.

Fit

Standard FootShape fit gives a roomy toe box with a secured midfoot and narrower heel, offered in standard width only. Zero drop places the foot in a flat, natural position.

Best for

Runners and hikers who want a zero-drop, wide-toe-box shoe with reliable traction and waterproofing for wet, muddy, or mixed technical terrain.

Avoid if

You want a light, fast-feeling trail shoe or aren't adapted to zero drop, as this is heavy and stiff by comparison.
